This was another research project. Since the overall theme we were going for was an antique style, I went through library collections of advertising from 1890 - 1920 and picked up on some themes in the design. Most of the lettering at that time was hand designed so I ended up tweaking the fonts that were used and uses sketches and Illustrator to build elements like the "P" and the Upper Case letters on the bottom. After adding some essential frills and accessory design, it ended up looking like it came right out of one of the collections I'd been going through.
